New ‘The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug’ banners and trailer news

Before a new trailer’s premiere that is happening tomorrow, October 1st, at 6am PT / 9am ET, Warner Bros. unveiled two new banners, one of them featuring Lee. “Lee Pace is the Elvenking, Thranduil, in TheHobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” the Hobbit production team tweeted an hour ago, enclosing an amazing shot.

The second banner shows Martin Freeman as the young Bilbo, accompanied by Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, Aidan Turner as Kili, Dean O’Gorman as Fili, and Graham McTavish as Dwalin, who are trying to cut through the spiders’ webs.

The second installment of Peter Jackson’s prequel is going to hit the cinemas this December.

  1. Oh man, this makes me so excited! I know he previously had his own character poster for ‘Breaking Dawn’, but this time his own poster seems more ‘eventful’ and unique, as well to be an indication that he’s heading towards greater things to in his career!
